Tips for everyday care of the intimate area
The most common symptom of menopause is vaginal dryness. Therefore, we should follow some very simple rules of hygiene to help us take care of the intimate area more effectively, as well as maintain good gynaecologic health.
1. Carefully choose your underwear: Irritation and/or mycosis are commonly caused due to the underwear we choose to wear, many hours per day. Synthetic underwear, increase the humidity and temperature in the intimate area, and thus create an ideal environment for the growth of harmful bacteria. On the contrary, cotton underwear enable the skin to breathe, thus offering protection from any irritations due to the above mentioned causes. Daily use of underwear like thongs should be avoided, as they might cause frictions that can lead to irritation.
2. Change your underwear regularly:Yeast infections multiply in warm and humid environments. Therefore, it is important to change underwear regularly, even twice a day if necessary, particularly during the summer months. If this is not possible, use pantyliners with 100% cotton topsheet, that you can change wherever and whenever you feel like it. EveryDay All Cotton pantyliners are the only ones with 100% cotton topsheet, individually wrapped, to be kept hygienically protected, so that you can discreetly carry them with you all the time.
3. Meticulously cleaning the area:In order to take care of the intimate zone, you should wash it thoroughly, using skin friendly products that soothe the skin and do not disturb the pH. Do not overdo it though. Once a day is enough. Excessive cleaning can disrupt the natural vaginal flora.
This way, you will feel more comfortable and fresh and nothing can stop you from enjoying being a woman.
