Jealousy
During puberty hormone imbalance affects your mood and emotions. Your feelings can change overnight and you tend to experience everything excessively. What happens if you have intense negative feelings such as jealousy?
Jealousy can ruin friendship. When we’re jealous of something another person has while we don’t, we might want to hurt him or her. It is an emotion all of us have experienced at some point in our lives. When you feel this way, it is hard to decide what to do and you feel like you’ve been wronged. Thinking about all the things that make you feel good, helps. You should appreciate what you have in life.
Jealousy makes things worse
Sometimes you find it difficult sharing it with your friends. You want to keep your feelings to yourself. When a friend of yours makes a new friend or a relationship with a boy, try to control your feelings. Just because your friend has a new girlfriend or boyfriend, doesn’t mean she no longer values your friendship. Nor that she loves you less. She just loves another person as much as she loves you. You could even meet this new girl and become friends. On the other hand, if you start a relationship and your friend gets jealous, show understanding and try explaining it to her.
Jealousy is a very powerful emotion that can make you feel sad, anxious and lonely. Your imagination grows wild. You’d rather be alone, than with friends. Should you ever feel this way, don’t keep it inside. Try talking about it with an elder person you trust. Ask yourself what you’re really jealous of. You may need time to clear your thoughts, find out what’s bothering you and find answers to your questions.
