The highlight of MEGA’s tireless concern for maximum product safety is its recent award at an important ceremony in Brussels where it received the top European Product Safety Award for EveryDay products from the European Commission.

This award is an extremely important recognition for the 100% Greek company, because, in addition to being leader in the Greek market, now MEGA is also acknowledged to be among those companies that are proven to stand out at a pan -European level, in terms of quality assurance systems and procedures. Companies that care for consumer safety and consistently make investments, requiring from themselves much more than it is legally imposed for their sector.

This top distinction, which is awarded to MEGA for the second time by the European Commission, reflects the highest and non-negotiable priority of the company to produce absolutely safe innovative products. Ever since it was founded, MEGA has presented its own 100% Greek proposal in personal hygiene, basing product design on the principle of Excellent Quality and maximum skin friendliness. The company implements an extremely strict internal quality assurance system, while at the same time collaborating with acknowledged international laboratories and organizations, subjecting its products to extremely demanding, internationally recognized laboratory controls, with extremely high standards (e.g. OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100).

Its aim is to offer the consumer products that cover needs far beyond absorbency and dryness, ensuring additional skin friendliness and product safety, with proofs and certifications.

In order to achieve all of the above, MEGA has been investing for decades in highly qualified staff, in state-of-the-art mechanical equipment, in extremely advanced Quality Control and Assurance Systems, and in innovative product design, with the aim of offering the consumer certified care they can trust.

Namely, Sensitive design, i.e. the unique skin-friendly properties and safety of MEGA products, is a pioneer concept, which the company created first worldwide in the personal hygiene category. Starting with the EveryDay Sensitive sanitary pad, it gradually created a full range of certified personal hygiene products made with premium materials, and unique skin-friendly properties, containing no harmful substances. In fact, thanks to MEGA’s sensitivity for certified friendly protection, EveryDay and Babylino products are the first in Europe to receive the international OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for the absence of over 200 harmful substances.

The European Commission’s award ceremony honored innovative business initiatives and research that enhance consumer safety beyond legal requirements, thereby raising the level of protection across Europe. The applications were submitted by companies and researchers from dozens of European countries. Following a preliminary examination, the jury of European experts in product safety regulatory matters selected the top candidates. Subsequently, the pre-selected companies were additionally checked based on internationally recognized corporate social responsibility criteria.

This award reflects the company’s highest and non-negotiable priority to produce absolutely safe, innovative products, while placing MEGA among those companies that have proven to stand out at a pan-European level, in quality assurance systems and procedures.
